Veterinary science is concerned with the medical or surgical treatment of animals and cure disease, sickness in animals and increasing their quality of life. Veterinary science also deals with diagnosing, treating and curing the diverse types of diseases in birds and animals, and also covers the study and protection of animal health, animal production and monitoring disease from spreading.

Veterinary science includes taking care of animal health and also scientific breeding and handling of livestock. Veterinary include study of animal disease, toxicology, immunology, medical virology, infectious disease, animal surgery, macrophage biology and biology of animal parasites. Veterinary science helps human health through the monitoring and control of zoonotic disease.

Employment

Veterinary Science graduates are employed in private and government veterinary hospitals, farms related to poultry, animal husbandry, dairy research institutes. Veterinary graduates have opportunities in laboratory, pharmaceutical, drug manufacturing industries. Graduates in veterinary will be medical doctor or a surgeon involves in health care, poultry management and wildlife conservation. Graduates deal with domesticated pets, nurse sick animals on farms, in zoos or in the wild. As keeping pets has become a fashion now, the scope for veterinarians is increasing day by day.
