Telecommunications engineering is an engineering field that comes under Electrical engineering. Telecommunication engineering includes electronics, civil, structural and electrical engineering as well a little bit of accounting and a lot of project management. A telecommunication engineer is responsible for designing and installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities, such as complex electronic switching systems, copper telephone facilities and fiber optics. Telecommunications engineers handle different types of technology that help us to communicate and use a variety of equipment and transport media.
