Soft skills are essentially the people skills the non-technical, personality-specific skills that determine your strengths as a leader, listener, negotiator, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and optimism that characterize relationships with other people. Soft skills play a vital role for professional success and soft skills are personal attributes that enhance an individual's interactions, job performance and career prospects. Soft skills include all those skills that are not technical in nature interpersonal skills of all kinds such as teamwork, conflict resolution, creativity and leadership.


Soft skills are typically hard to observe, quantify and measure that are needed for everyday life as much as they are needed for work. They have to do with how people relate to each other communicating, listening, engaging in dialogue, giving feedback, cooperating as a team member, solving problems, contributing in meetings and resolving conflict.

The professional in this field are known as a CNC Programmer who develop and run programs which direct the CNC machines to cut and shape metal or plastic for such things as airplanes, automobiles and other industrial machines. Programmer work includes loading and unloading work pieces, checking work pieces, setting program datum, setting up jigs and fixtures, replacing worn or broken tooling, cleaning the machine and basic machine maintenance.
