Neuroscience is defined as the scientific study of the nervous system. Neuroscience is concerned with the chemistry, computer science, engineering, linguistics, mathematics, medicine and allied disciplines, philosophy, physics, and psychology. Neuroscience helps in solving issues related to nervous systems and the brain. Neuroscience is also concerned with the social and behavioral science fields such as neuroeconomics, decision theory, and social neuroscience to address complex questions about interactions of the brain with its environment.

Neuroscience gives the knowledge of molecular, cellular, developmental, structural, functional, evolutionary, computational and medical aspects of the nervous system. Neuroscience is also known as Neurobiology which deals with the study of cells of the nervous system and the organization of these cells into functional circuits that process information and mediate behavior.

Neuroscience graduates are employed in hospitals, companies associated with research, government organizations, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, scientific consulting firms, medical and scientific journals, law firms dealing in intellectual property, government agencies. Graduates of neuroscience can select their field as Neuroscientist, Neurobiologist, Neurological Surgeon, Neurologist, Neurophysiologist, Neuropsychologist, Biological Psychologist, Psychiatrist, and Neuroscience Nurse.
