Mechanical engineering is an engineering that consists of the two principles physics and materials science, Physics for design & manufacturing, Material Science for analysis and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineers are concerned with the principles of force, energy and motion. Mechanical engineering plays a dominant role in enhancing safety, economic vitality and overall quality of life throughout the world. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.

Mechanical engineers are also expected to understand and be able to apply basic concepts from chemical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering. All mechanical engineering programs include multiple semesters of calculus. As well as advanced mathematical concepts including differential equations, partial differential equations, linear algebra and abstract algebra. In addition to the core mechanical engineering curriculum, many mechanical engineering as specialized programs and classes, such as robotics, transport and logistics, cryogenics, fuel technology, automotive engineering, biomechanics, vibration, optics and others.


Specialty areas of Mechanical Engineering

Fluid Mechanics.

Thermodynamics.

Mechanical Design (covering the full range of mechanical-based products and systems).

Robotics.

Nanotechnology.

Instrumentation and measurement.

Thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy conversion, and HVAC.

Combustion, automotive engines, fuels.

Mechanism design (including kinematics and dynamics).

Manufacturing engineering, technology, or processes.

Hydraulics and pneumatics.

Engineering design.

Product design.

Mechatronics and control theory.

Design engineering, Drafting, computer-aided design (CAD) (including solid modeling), and     computer-aided manufacturing(CAM) .

Along with a person working as a conventional mechanical engineer, there are multiple fields include environmental control, transportation, automated manufacturing, computer, fossil fuel, biomedical, nuclear power, and much more. Mechanical Engineering is one of best field in various counties.
