Investment Management is a process of managing money including budgeting, banking and taxes in order to meet specified investment goals for the investors. Investment Management most commonly refers to the buying and selling of investments within a portfolio. Investment management is all about investing objects under specified constraints. Investment management services include elements of financial statement analysis, asset selection, stock selection, plan implementation and ongoing monitoring of investments. The level of investment depends on the capacities as well as the intents of the individuals or the organizations that are carrying out the investments

Investments can be made in stocks of listed companies, as well as through initial public offering in mutual funds, in pension funds, in insurance sector and with banks in various forms. Investments can be short term as well as long term. Investment management is concerned with various securities like shares, bonds and other.
