Industrial Production Engineering is a branch of engineering concerned with the design of productive system. It analyzes and specifies integrated components of people, machines and facilities to create effective system that produce goods and services to mankind. Industrial Production also deals with development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people. Industrial Engineering can also be termed as Operations management, Production Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering depending on the motives of the user.

Industrial Production engineers work is to planning, measuring and controlling all activities within the organization, besides designing the production process for a product. An industrial or production engineer is responsible for the overall industrial production and management.

Engineers can also work as a faculty member in several technological institutions.
