Forestry is a science of art which deals with planting, creating, cultivating, conserving, repairing, caring and the management of forests. Forests contribute a lot to the ecology and economy of the nations and play a major role in improvement of quality of life of the people. Forestry involves protection of forests and farming of trees to ensure contributing timber supply. Graduate who is specialized in this field is known as a Forester, Who takes care of forest resources by protecting them from fire, pests, disease, conducting research in areas such tree improvement and entomology, Monitoring existing forestry practices, protecting forests from illegal felling.

Wildlife refers to living organism in its natural habitat it includes all animals and microorganisms other than animals domesticated and cultivated plants. Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems like deserts, forests, rain forests, grasslands, and other areas including the most developed urban sites.

Graduates of Forestry and Wildlife are employed in department of forest and wildlife, public sector research institutions like Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Eco-rehabilitation and Wildlife Research Institutes. They can also be employed in Botanical and Zoological parts, Wildlife sanctuaries and National parks. They can start their career as a teacher in universities and colleges. Graduates work as a foresters, dendrologists, ethnologists, entomologists, forest range officers, zoo curators.
