Film Making is concerned with Making Films, Films which are creative and technicality and an important media, not only for entertainment and information, but also for communication it as developed into a universal art form that transcends cultural differences. Film making includes feature films, documentaries, Promotional films, TV commercials, music Video. Film Making involves acting, directing, producing, script writing, cinematography, sound recording, visual mixing, editing and so on.

Filmmaking takes place in many places around the world in a range of economic, social, and political contexts, and using a variety of technologies and cinematic techniques and the art of filmmaking consists a teamwork which needs close coordination and skilled of various People. The professionals who involved in this field are known as Filmmakers, who often collaborate with people who take on different roles for the production of the movie.


Filmmaking involves Several Key Phases.

Story Development: The story is written and formatted into a shooting script to help a producer determine the essential things that will be needed for the production of the film.

Pre-production : is made, the shooting, the cast and crew are hired, locations chosen, and sets are constructed.

Production: is when the director films his movie based on the shooting script.

The post-production: involves editing the film that is shot, adding sound effects, music and all other effects required by the movie.

Distribution: The filmmaker finds a distributer to promote the film and show it to the public. Many finished films fail in the final essential step in filmmaking; so many films go unseen or unnoticed by the public.

 

Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with any subjects to get admission    into bachelor’s degree program.

2. Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts in Filmmaking.

3. P.G. of Fine Arts in Filmmaking.
