Events management is the process beyond planning, executing and evaluating corporate, association, nonprofit, government and social events and also event management is an additional feature used to define a process that helps leverage automation to manage events to become more effective and efficient. Event management is a way of outsourcing occasions that are either business, social or a combination of the two. Event management is concerned with the application of the management practice of project management to the creation and development of festivals and events.

Event management is all about putting in order a professional and focused event, for a particular target audience. It involves visualizing concepts, planning, budgeting, organizing and executing events and also involves study of identifying the target audience, devising the event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects before actually executing the modalities of the proposed event.


Event Management consists of 4 Categories

1. Leisure events (leisure sport, music, recreation).

2. Cultural events (ceremonial, religious, art, heritage and folklore).

3. Personal events (weddings, birthdays, anniversaries).

4. Organizational events (commercial, political, charitable, sales, product launch).

Employment

Event Management students are employed in TV channels, Films and serial production houses, hotel industry, tourism, the corporate sector, BPOs (Business Processing Outsourcing), newspaper houses and the fashion industry. Event Manager can also work as a consultant in corporations or can work independently. Event Managers works involves visualizing concepts, planning, budgeting, organizing and executing events such as fashion shows, musical concerts, corporate seminars, exhibitions, wedding celebrations, theme parties, product launching etc.
