Environmental Engineering is an Engineering of science which deals with protection, preservation and improving the environment aspects for healthy environment such as providing good water, fresh air and soil resources for human habitation and living organisms on earth. The technology is concerned with the reduction of pollution, contamination and deterioration of the environment. Environmental engineering began with consideration of the need for acceptable drinking water and for management of liquid and solid wastes. Environmental engineer deals with protection of wildlife habitat, preservation of species and the overall well-being of ecosystems.

Environmental Engineering includes the study and reduction of local and worldwide environmental issues such as ozone depletion, global warming, acid rain, automobile emissions. Environmental engineers actually design pollution controls and waste management systems like landfills, water treatment centers, air pollution controls etc. Environmental scientists and specialists use their knowledge of the natural sciences to protect the environment.
