Electrician is a person who installs, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, and communications. Electricians generally specialize in construction and maintenance work, Electricians who specialize in construction work primarily install wiring systems into new homes, businesses, and factories, and Electricians who specialize in maintenance work primarily maintain and upgrade existing electrical systems and repair electrical equipment. Electricians also specialize in wiring ships, airplanes and other mobile platforms and install, maintain the electronic controls for machines in business and industry.

Networking is the process of linking two or more computing devices together for the purpose of sharing data and Networks are built with a mix of computer hardware and computer software. Networking is basically specialization in making and managing computer networks which refer to the interconnection of a group of computer systems and allows computers to communicate with each other and share resources, peripherals etc. Computer networking is considered a sub-discipline of electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, information technology or computer engineering.

Networks are categorized in to two different ways

1. Local area networks (LANs), typically for single home, school, or small office building.

2. Wide area networks (WANs), cities, states, or even across the world

 

Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with science subjects to get     admission into bachelor’s degree program

2. ITI in Electrical

3. Diploma in Electrical and Computers

4. Hardware and Networking Courses

5. BE in Electrical and Computers

 

Employment

Electrician graduates are employed in manufacturing and technical industries. Most of the electricians may also choose to be self-employed and offer their services to homes and businesses. Electricians work at construction sites, in homes, in businesses or factories. Due to growth of the economy and the augment of the population, more electricians will be needed to install electrical systems and to give maintenance services so employment of electricians is expected to increase as fast as average for all occupations through the upcoming years. Based on the qualifications, jobs are given for graduates.


Networking graduates are employed in IT companies, industries, including educational institutions, hospitals, banks, large corporations, and government agencies. Graduates work as a Network Systems Manager, Network Administrator, Systems/Applications Executive, Hardware and Network Engineers.
