Design Engineering

Design Engineering is a branch which consists of multiple designing fields like Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Architecture design. Design engineers create the initial blueprints and schematics for various structures, systems, machines or equipment. Design engineers use advanced computer technology and applications, Such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, to help them create and test virtual models which is related to Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Design engineers communicate with planning committees and other engineering specialists to design projects and also they design according to user needs. Design Engineering mainly consists of Design, Planning and Process.

Design engineers deal with much more complex technological and scientific systems like aircraft, spacecraft, rockets, trains, ships, dams, bridges, building structures, urban infrastructure, machinery, production systems, propulsion systems, mining exploration systems, manufacturing processes, military systems, cars, electronics, computers, power generation systems

Specialty areas of Design Engineering

According to their selection of field (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer and Civil Engineering)

1. Graphic Designer (Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw).

2. Industrial Designer (study of visual arts technology, and a background in the social     sciences).

3. Interior Designer (AutoCAD).

4. Structural Designer.

5. Web Designer.

Design Engineers are employed in different government organizations and industries, including research and development companies, construction firms, building services, electronic and consumer goods manufacturing, shipbuilding, aerospace, railways. Design Engineers are involved in Designing, Planning of particular given project. They work with different team members on a different project. Design Engineers have great opportunity according to their selection of field.
