Dental Science deals with all health problems afflicting the mouth, the teeth, the gums and the other hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. Dental science is widely considered necessary for complete overall health and it is all about the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and the treatment of disorders and settings of tissues and diseases that affect the mouth.

Dental science includes cosmetology where the dentists try to improve the patient’s appearance by using a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures. Graduates who specialize in this field are known as dentists. Dentists also encourage prevention of oral diseases through proper hygiene and regular checkups for professional cleaning and evaluation.

Dental Science graduates are employed in government hospitals, nursing homes, research institute, colleges, universities, and teaching and in industries. Graduates can also employee in Service sectors such as railways and defense services. Graduates as a dentist are involved in treating their patients such as fitting artificial replacements, filling, extracting teeth, scaling and crowning of teeth and treating cum diseases. Dentistry also takes care of dental care and correction of teeth. Graduates work as a Professors, Forensics, Dental surgeon, Oral pathologist, Dental hygienist, Dental Assistant, Private Practitioners, Public health specialists, Medical Representative. Job opportunities are available in foreign countries also.
