Ceramic engineering is technology which deals with manufacturing of objects by heating process and with chemical solutions using inorganic materials. Ceramic engineering could be called the smooth operator of the engineering world. Ceramic engineering includes designing, developing and manufacture of products using raw materials. Ceramic Engineering deals with different fields like Electrical, Medical and computer. The major functions of Ceramic Engineers are research, product development and production engineering.

Ceramic engineering includes purification of raw materials, production of chemical compounds. Ceramic Engineering consists of ceramic materials which deal with many applications on Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The products of ceramic are Computer chips, fiber optics, joint replacements, CD DVDs, VCRs, phone lines, space shuttle tiles, safety glass windshields, bone implants, medical electronic equipment, airbag sensors, spark plugs, piston rings, bricks, cement, missiles, capacitors, resistors, electronic components, TV components, magnets, laser communications.
