Broadcasting Engineering  

Broadcast engineering is the field which is related to electrical engineering, computer engineering and information technology. Broadcasting engineering mainly deals with radio and television broadcasting. Broadcast engineers design and look after the equipment and systems used to transmit programs across television and radio networks. Broadcasting engineers install, test, operate and repair electronic equipment that is used to transmit radio, television and cable programs.

Broadcast engineers also produce sound tracks for motion pictures. Major activities of Broadcasting Engineers are Making Decisions, Solving Problems, and Interacting with Computers, Drafting, Specifying Technical Devices, Parts of Equipment and also Analyzing Data or Information. Broadcast engineers also regulate the clarity, signal strength and the range of sounds and colors for radio and television broadcasts.

Broadcasting Engineers are employed in Radio Station, TV channels etc. Engineers are involved in Research, design, development and testing the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. Engineers positions will be in radio and television broadcast facilities, cable television operations, specialty channels, post-production facilities, audiovisual systems and satellite distribution systems. Graduates will find work as installation and service technologists, systems integration engineers and field service technologists.
