Biology is a science which is concerned with the study of life and living organisms on the earth. Biology consists of five basic principles they are the cell theory, gene theory, evolution, homeostasis and laws of thermodynamics. Biology is the key to understanding the health and growth of microorganisms, plants and animals and including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution and distribution. Biology subdivisions are recognized on the basis of the scale at which organisms are studied and the methods used to study them such as biochemistry, molecular biology, cellular biology and physiology.

Biology is applied in many fields such as Agronomy, Animal Husbandry, Biochemistry, Forestry, Horticulture, Fish and Wildlife Conservation and Range Management Agriculture, and medicine. Graduates specialized in this field are known as biologists, they are involved in researches and agricultural processes to improve medical field.
