Acupuncture & Acupressure

Acupuncture is a process which is used in treatment of pain or disease by inserting the tips of needles at specific points on the skin with the aim of restoring health and well-being. Acupuncture is very strictly defined and is exclusive of any therapy other than the insertion of acupuncture needles. Acupuncture is mainly a Chinese medical practice that treats illness or provides local anesthesia by the insertion of needles at specified sites of the body. Acupuncture is often used to treat a variety of health conditions, such as chronic pain, headaches, arthritis pain, and to improve overall health and wellness. Acupuncture treatments can help the body's internal organs to correct imbalances in their absorption and energy production activities, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians.

Acupressure is a form of touch therapy that utilizes the principles of acupuncture. In acupressure, the same points on the body are used as in acupuncture, but are stimulated with finger pressure instead of with the insertion of needles. Acupressure is used to relieve a variety of symptoms and pain. Acupressure means treating the body by applying pressure on specific points called pressure points, located in the hands, feet, face, ears, legs, neck and other parts of the body. Acupressure massage therapy stimulates and activates the body’s own energies to help fight illness and restore harmony. Acupressure cures all the diseases from the root.
