Jewellery designing is a creative art that combines knowledge of conceptualizing, making jewellery, stone cutting, engraving and polishing. Jewelry is a type of accessory that humans have used to adorn their bodies for centuries. Jewellery designing, manufacturing and trading has been an integral part of the human society since five thousand years and more.

There are several different types of jewelry. Earrings are meant to adorn the ears, for instance, and necklaces are meant to adorn the neck. Some other types of jewelry include bracelets, anklets, rings, brooches, pins, and body jewelry. Jewelry is made from a wide range of gold, diamond, silver, platinum materials, gemstones, precious metals, beads, and shells have been widely used in making.

Professionals in this field are known as Jewellery designers who plan the style and pattern of jewellery, silverware and other decorative metal work products and they use high degree of skill and precision and use a variety of specialized hand tools and equipment to design and manufacture new pieces of jewellery.


Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with any subjects to get admission     into Diploma.

2. Diploma in Jewellery Designing.



Graduates are employed in Jewelery Designing House, Export House, Fashion House, and Manufacturing Companies. One can start up their own business as a freelancer or by keeping shop.
