Interior designing is a profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied with in a structure to achieve a built interior environment and these solutions are enhancing the quality of life, culture of the occupants and attractive. Interior design are created to response to and coordinated with the building shell and physical location of project. Designer is responsible for performing services relative to interior spaces, including programming, design analysis, space planning and aesthetics, using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings Interior design is a stable career path that grows with the economy.

Interior design includes research, analysis and integration of knowledge into creative process. Interior designer works with the painters, wallpaper designers, electricians, furniture manufacturers, fabric wholesalers and others to complete the project.

Interior design makes of different aspects such as architecture, product design, environmental psychology and decoration and it emphasizes the essential characteristics of all design styles color, concept, proportion, ergonomics, balance and function of design.

Some Task in Interior Designing include are

1. Research and Analysis.

2. Selection of Colors, Materials.

3. Selection of specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment’s.

4. Preparation of project budgets and schedules.

5. Observation and reporting on the implementation of Projects.


Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with any subjects to get admission     into Diploma.

2. Diploma in Interior Designing.



Graduates are employed in large architectural firms, building contractors, hotels and resorts, private design consultancy firms, theaters and exhibition organizing company, town planning bureaus, metropolitan and regional development departments and the public works department.
