Diploma in Instrumentation Technology

Instrumentation technology is the branch of engineering which deals with the construction and designing of the instruments. An instrument is a device that measures process of variables like temperature level, pressure, flow, currents, speed for gas, electrical, chemical and other systems. Instrumentation technology teaches students about control processes and measurement functions of instrumentation devices.

Instrumentation engineering is specialized branch of Electrical and Electronic engineering and it focuses on the principle and operation of measuring instruments, which are used in design and configuration of automated systems.

Instrumentation technology includes instruction in instrumentation design and maintenance, calibration, design, production testing and scheduling, automated equipment functions, applications to specific industrial tasks and report preparation. Instrumentation technology degree programs provide theoretical and hands-on learning in setting up and maintaining automated control systems.

Specialty areas of Instrumentation Technology

1. Digital Logic System

2. Distributed Control System

3. Process Control System

4. Microcontroller System Design & Experimentation

5. Industrial Electronics & applications

6. Logic Process Controllers

Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with any subjects to get admission     into Diploma.

2. Diploma in Instrumentation Technology.

Graduates are employed in IT industries, Private sectors and manufacturing environment, R&D units of public and private sector companies, industries such as thermal power stations, steel plants, refineries, and cement and fertilizer plants. They are often employed in highly technical industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, manufacturing or energy production.
