Control engineering is an engineering which applies control theory for various design system and control engineering encompasses the design, build and management of systems that are used in a range of modern industrial settings, and is closely related to mechatronic and robotic engineering. Control engineering is a specialized stream of engineering that deals with measurement and control of process variables in a production process and discipline finds its origin in both electrical and electronics engineering, and it covers subjects related to electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical and computing streams.


Control engineering is based upon specific mathematical theories that allow engineers to effectively gather control feedback. Control engineering activities focus on implementation of control systems mainly derived by mathematical modeling of systems of a diverse range. The instruments created by control engineers are automate processes, and reduce the involvement of manpower.

Some tasks involved in Control Engineering are

1. Control systems design and installation

2. Process control and instrumentation

3. Installation and management

4. Electronics design and manufacturing

5. Engineering research and development

6. Sales and service of technical equipment

7. Project and technology management

 

Courses and Eligibility

1. Student must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with any subjects to get admission     into Diploma.

2. Diploma in instrumentation and Control Engineering.

 

Employment

Graduates are employed in aerospace companies, thermal power plants, steel plants, fertilizer plants, automobile companies, refineries and cement plants, instrumentation companies and in all Manufacturing Companies. Graduates involved in design, develop, manage the instruments and the instrumentation systems.


Graduates can join Bachelor degree of Engineering in after completion of Diploma in related subject (3 years).
