Chemical engineering basically is all about chemistry and its application. It is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, construction and operation of machines and plants. Chemical Engineering is the application of science, mathematics and economics to the process of converting chemical materials into more useful and valuable things. Chemical Engineering is the field with sufficient economical control of chemical process and chemical reactants and covers various fields of chemical technology in mineral based industries, petrochemical plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, petroleum refining plants.


Chemical engineering is a combination of chemistry and mechanical engineering and study of chemical engineering involves in manufacturing products like paints, fuels, fibers, medicines, fertilizers, plastics, paper and other types of chemicals by carrying out chemical reactions. Graduates in this field are known as Chemical Engineers, who design and operate chemical plants and improve methods of production.

Chemical Engineers are involved in designing and production of chemical products. Engineers have job opportunities in fields of manufacturing and Service industries, plastics, power production, biotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, materials science.


Graduates can join Bachelor degree of Engineering after completion of Diploma in related subject (3 years).
